I am assistant professor in philosophy at Colorado State University. I completed my PhD in 2024 at Queen's University, under the supervision of Will Kymlicka. My dissertation focused on the cognitive and epistemic lives of nonhuman animals and their relationship to ethics and epistemic injustice.
I completed my BA in philosophy at California State University, Fullerton, and my MA in philosophy at Dalhousie University. My Master's thesis focused on Kantian perspectives on animal embodiment, personhood, and human dignity. My interests in philosophy are broad, but can be placed under the umbrellas of animal philosophy, feminist philosophy, social & political philosophy, Latin American philosophy, and philosophy of biology.
Outside of philosophy, I enjoy reading and translating Spanish poetry, reading sci-fi and literature, board games, cooking Mexican food, weightlifting, and lazing around.
